Has anybody used one of these? This one came with the box and caps, but the focus is stuck tight.

Is it worth fixing? Or should I keep it as a curio, or maybe use it for macro work on a bellows?

We have a few members who has experience with Sun lenses, usually 90mm focal length is pretty good from any maker. I expect good result from this lens worth to refurbish it. Nice catch , first one what I seen.

Pretty lens. I have a similar 135mm. I show it off, but have yet to shoot it.

I haven't use mine yet Embarassed http://forum.mflenses.com/sun-opt-co-sola-f9cm-14-no-82110-t33123,highlight,%2Bsola.html#1076011

Focus ring was frozen. A little penetrating oil fixed that. Then I cleaned the elements -- pretty easy iirc. I skipped the aperture cleaning, however.

The lens surely looks good.
The name... well, in today's Roman dialect, "sola" means "sole" (of shoe), which is also slang for "lemon"... in the meaning of "rip-off"... Rolling Eyes so I hope it won't be such for you! Wink

How is the IQ of Sun lenses as a whole? I see later ones quite often on ebay and usually dirt cheap.
