Biotar 75mm f1.5
Pancolar 80mm f1.8
Nikkor 85mm f1.8 black AI
etc.

Most 50mm lens from good brand

I also like my Fujinon EBC glass

In shutter or barrel mount?

I think most of my lenses are sharp enough actually.
The Yashica MLs, DSBs, Yashinon-DX
The Asahi Auto-, Super-, S-M-C Takumar
MC Helios 44-3
CZJ 135/3.5 Zebra

If there are sharper, I'm not sure I need it. Then bokeh and colours is more important to me.

One very sharp lens that I had, comparable to leica M lenses, was the skopagon 2/40 for bessamatics and ultramatic (also for kodaks retinas reflex). I forget it a lot but when I remember, post.

Rino.

One thing is sure, no Italian company would ever call a lens the Skopagon Laughing
But don't ask me why Laughing

Yep, but this thread is called "sharpest lens" and this is high lumen, but quite a soft lens, this is why I had not mentioned it.
Rare indeed! See Stephen Gandy's site: http://www.cameraquest.com/zoomar13.htm

I think it will be harder to find a lens which is not sharp enough.

For me:

OM Zuiko 50/1.8 it is even better than 1.4
Bronica PS-B 180/4.5 it focuses down to 1m, so it is great portrature lens for 6x6, and crisply sharp!
Bronica PS-B 80/2.8

Please share your photos taken with Bronica I never seen any here.

I will have some scanned pictures in few weeks on nikon9000ed, from kodak portra800 film, so i´ll post it;) Here i add just some bad preview-scans. I was using it with Bronica SQ-B, mainly with high-speed films so the grain is bigger than resolution of the lenses.

80: just sharp. there aren´t bad 80´s in medium format systems i think, so no wonder. the best 80mm lenses are in Rolleiflex TLRs (especially Rolleiflex 2.8E or 2.8F with CZ planar.. but the price)

180: Problem is that when close-focused it gets really dark (about 5.6 or maybe more) so it is really hard to focus precisely. Really sharp at close-focus, it is main pole for it. Question is, what is sharp? 6*6 forgives you more than smaller formats. Maybe there are sharper lenses for this format in this focallength, but not for about 200USD i think. and at least, for bronica sq you need original lenses with leaf-shutter, so there isn´t any other option.

both have nice, mild bokeh for me

photos(first 2 from 80, second 2 from 180):

PS. Does anyone riddle film&developer of the bw photo? Very Happy
