After final adjustment of the Rubinar 300/4.5...

No lens hood available, so contrast might have been better, but it seems ok.



100% crop

Top of the pole was about 50m away.




Cat was 3m away.


Like all 300s there's only so much it can do, and it's much better on closer subjects. Overall, I think I'll hang on to this. I couldn't care less about the doughnut bokeh, and the shallow DOF isn't too much of a pita with a bit of practice. Not a lens for testing out on a film camera though,with the amount of dud shots.
