Really? I have used a Ricoh KR-10x and a Rikenon 35-70 for about 20 years now and never had any problem! _________________ Personal forum activity on pause every now and again (due to job obligations)!

Nikon L35AF
Came with original brown leather cover and lens filter and cap, plus manual for $24. Is it true the lens is a Sonnar design? |

Good point, Dave, yes indeed. A private varnish was a symbol of the rich,

I've never owned a Ricoh SLR. But of all my buddies that have, they've always been problem rigs. I love their P&S rigs.

The Nikon L35AF is an excellent camera, but I have a selection of quite a few P&S from the well known camera makers (well most of em are in my wife's handbags unused) and all the fixed lens cameras are quite sharp.
So the cameras have to be judged on something else....e.g how well does a P&S work for all situations, unless you just want a sunny day camera like the excellent Konica C35.
Comparing other P&S to Ricoh:- I don't advertise where I store my shots, but people searching for Nikon L35af have looked at this shot over 600 times in 6 months. I've done the shot again a bit darker and a tweak in sharpness.

Well all things considered what did I do but just press the shutter button....the camera, film, lens, processing, did the rest
Superia 200 asa was used and is an excellent film, reala is great too. But the colours look even better in the shop print because of the gloss (well you know what I mean).
One of the facinations of using film is:- when playing with lenses, films, light, processing, and so on, is that quite a few times you are suprised with what you get in the final result.
First use of a viv 55mm macro gave this result with superia 200asa:-
