This is my first time posting to the forum. All of your great work inspired me to get my first manual lens. I picked up a SMC Takumar 1.8, which I used for these portraits of my kids. Still learning this manual focus game...

More heavily processed than I normally do, but I was going for something more dramatic. Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 135mm 3.5 MC wide open with natural light from the window to the front.

Pentax K50/1.2 on Pentax K20d at f2.0, using two white doors as reflectors.
Flash with tungsten gel pointed to the right door blade, reflect to whole figure as main light.
Left door blade as secondary reflector to fill the shade and light up the contour.
Background ambient light -2 stops.

Funny portrait; it looks as if the young beauty doesn't take you for 100% seriously. She is wrong, but it looks great!

Beautiful one Rok.
Maybe some more contrast to make the blue eye pop out even more ?

PostPosted: Thu Feb 16, 2012 6:41 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Thank you!

Maybe, maybe not... This one I like with less contrast. I do like contrasti photos, but doesn't like when I loose details with blacks.
