Great results yes; looks like detail recovery from shadows, highlight saves and some levels/contrast plus removal of color cast. Nicely done, not too much of any. |

They're powerful programs but they are expensive (I guess that is the "pro contrast" adjustment). _________________ View or buy my photos at:

Very true. I am in the great situation that I got some of those tools from my school where I work as a teacher (among other subjects I teach IT) and from university where I used to teach at (in courses like New Media for Teachers for example).
I would never spend so much money on a collection of software filters, I guess. _________________ Personal forum activity on pause every now and again (due to job obligations)!

The only disadvantage is that you have more noise now
Care should be taken especially when increasing contrast in the highlights. It is one of the main reasons why I tweak contrast in Viveza. _________________ :::[ f o t o m a c h i . M X ]:::

Noise is not the only disadvantage - I don´t like the trees in the foreground left an right in the edges. Seems NIK try to make the shadows a bit brighter, what I do not like here.
But the NIK programms are very often helpfull, I use Silver Efex Pro and Viveza. _________________ Camera modification, repair and DIY - some links to look through: http://www.4photos.de/camera-diy/index-en.html

And the trees? Yes, but it would have been easy to avoid that.
That image is a "3-click-improvement" that took me about 10 seconds. _________________ Personal forum activity on pause every now and again (due to job obligations)!
