Not bad, a half frame P&S frame with manual zone focus and AE

Lens is a semi wideangle (37mm equivalent) triplet which should give decent DoF for a P&S
Shutter is electronic (no manual exposure) from 4s to 350 +B

For 1st foray not bad, hopefully a SLR will come later

Maximum aperture priority. Makes sense for a camera like this. On cameras in the past it would have been aperture priority mode with full aperture control.

I have always liked Ricoh as a camera manufacturer by the way.

They don't always get it right but they have always been willing to take a risk and market something a little different.
