Canon 100mm f/3.5 is very good indeed. The PEN F 100mm f/3.5 is also just as good, but slightly bigger.

C mount lenses from around 50mm should work good on APS-C, but I have one Soligor 2" lens that vignettes slightly on m43 too, so there is no rule in "blueprint" that all lenses from 50mm should cover APS-C.

Braun Paxette lenses can be found for cheap. I have seen 35mm, 38mm, 50mm, 85mm, 90mm and 135mm focal length lenses in Braun Paxette m39 mount. You need an Braun Paxette m39 to LTM m39 adapter to get the right register distance. I have found 3 of these adapters on eBay. And they usually comes with the lens and is difficult to discover as they seem to look like they are a part of the lens.
.... the 35mm lenses are nice "everyday" walk around lenses and much cheaper than the 35mm LTM lenses out there Wink

thank you very much for the comprehensive answer Nordentro Smile
( and sorry for the late answer, only had discovered it right now )

regards, andreas

that's a very nice looking lens - and the adapter too Shocked

I am still using the canon 50/1.2 ltm and also collect samples from pentax A50/1.2 to compare.
Here's what it looks like, taken with pentax A 50/1.2 at f1.2 tilt.

Looks very good to my eyes! Very Happy

The Canon lens you have there look very clean, I guess you spent big $$$ to get such a nice copy?!?

I got the lenses today, and here is a testshot of a microphone with the 42mm wide open. Little soft wide open, but not that bad either Wink
It is a f/1.2 lens after all. My 2012 built Nokton 25mm f/0.95 is softer than this wide open.

These are perfect for mirrorless cameras. Small, well built, good IQ and you don't get a lens upside down like you often will with a m39 lens for instance Very Happy I used to avoid Pen f lenses because of their pricetag, but having several of them now makes me feel like these lenses are keepers.

I also got a Pen f 2x TC lens from Soligor, quite rare I think?!?

Great shot of the mike. I have been trying and failing to collect these Pen F lenses cheap, but no chance now, too well known and regarded.

I did however pick up a broken Pen EM that I removed the 2/35 lens from:

In my experience the Nokton is stronger at middle distances, a closeup like the microphone picture isn't it's best side. But still, it shouldn't be worse than the 100% jpg in the top right corner. Do you have any direct comparison pictures to support your claim?

The statement was based on my impression with close focus. So to be clear, I didn't do any scientific tests, so I could be wrong! Very Happy

Ok, you could as well be right, it would be interesting to see some testresults how it holds up. Smile

Pretty amazing isn't it. This lens really push out a lot of details when stopped down just a little bit (click for bigger).
This picture is taken in-house during a wedding with no extra lighting or flash at f/2 or f/2.8 with the 60mm (it's hard to remember exact) Wink

I finally got such a 1.5/60mm and looking forward to achieving such results, since it is only the lens that does that, we all know that - right? Laughing

Congratz!

Yes, it's more or less just pushing the button with this lens to achieve these results Laughing
