Very well balanced on the 6x7, I'm sure I will be able to use it handheld, despite the total weigh of 8,6 kg Very Happy

Good God man, if you survive you will become a Superhero!

What a monster and on a Pentax 6x7, right?

Can't wait to see some images with it.
You'd better get in the gym and start training!

It is far far better balanced than the Tele Takumar 1000/8, which I already use handheld, so gym will not be mandatory Very Happy

Wow that's massive looking. Shocked

Any pictures of just the Pentax 6X7? I'm loving that wooden grip.

Wow...that's beautiful. I think I found the medium format camera I want.

If I could just veer off topic for a sec...what sort of prices do these go for?

For a working P6x7/P67 alone (without lens, wooden grip, with simple prism or nothing), I would say an average price around 150-170€ Wink

Thanks. I'd buy one just for that beautiful wooden grip. Very Happy

Those are extra Wink I agree the wooden grip is a beautiful accessory. Looks even better on that well-brassed body! (Does 645D have wooden grip?)

Sunny, I just ran a test roll of slide film through mine, getting ready for Spring. No grip though Laughing Striking to me was how the weight isn't much more than 5D with comparable size lens. It was also nice to re-experience the simplicity of manual film camera again -- seems like much less mental overhead than with digital, maybe something about the wait for results makes for less stress.
