Apart from a few facts (it rained all day, Orio could not come due to snow, nobody else showed up, it was cold, my 5D almost stopped working),
it was a very nice meeting Smile Laughing Smile

I am back in Athens now. Before I rush to bed, I post here one of my favorite photos:

Vespae in perspective in a Bergamo alley (see the high-res image please)
Contax Vario-Sonnar 35-70 @ f/8, iso 1250

I have fallen in love with the Vario-Sonnar 35-70...

Lovely image, Nikos! Easy to understand how you enjoy your "new" 35-70. Smile

People, look what it means to have a lens that is sharp to start with. Look at high res image and look at the venetian blinds: they are very close to each other and oblique, but they are not jagged, which is the thing you notice when pictures have been oversharpened. While in this case, they look smooth, but the picture is still super sharp, which means that Nikos did not have to over-sharpen the image in postwork to make it look sharp, the image just came out sharp from the camera.

Nikos, I am so sad about the snow Sad That was really super bad luck. We have usually not more than 4-5 snow days each year, and usually from December to March. I can not recall in my recent memory another November day with snow Sad

I hope that your 5DII's button has come back to working condition.

Even with all the weather obstacles, it was super nice to meet you!

Very nice, I like it. Seems like a crazy sharp lens. Wink

After lots of rain and cold, two things happened:
First the stick button refused to click and to point to the right.
Then, interestingly, the mirror started to locked up after taking a photo...
I looked through the viewfinder and... blackout.
After this, I ran into the nearest cafe to let the camera dry.

It dried up, and it seems to be fine now.

A pity I could not come with you guys, I'm still at home with an awful cough and a runny nose, debating whether I should take antibiotics...
