Has anyone removed the rear part of this lens?

I'm interested in grinding the rear portion of metal, so it goes deeper, so it can be used on Nikon with infinity focus via M42 adapter.

You'll have to change optical properties for this to work. Moving rear system towards front one. And similar distortions as here could be expected: http://forum.mflenses.com/canon-fd-s-c-1-8-50mm-on-5dmkii-and-crazy-center-swirl-t41431.html

Well, I've checked right now, and it appears to be designed by same people who did Chinon 55/1.7, so it will not be hard to adapt it (when you have access to lathe), just the auto/manual aperture switch and pin will be gone, but they aren't used nowadays.
