I kind of "regret" for the meyer trioplan 2.8/100 red-V on M42 mount..
It was trully a beautiful lens and in pristine condition!
To compensate the loss... some months after, I WAS IN NEED to get at least the trioplan 2.9/50 _________________ Regards,

Canon EF Macro 100/2.8 L IS USM and 135/2 L USM.Now when Metabones E to EF adapter MkIII is here I'm thinking of regaining.
The others, mainly MF lenses, headlessly resold in the past in search of ultimate IQ, were purchased again already. Some of them in two-three-four copies (Minolta MC Rokkors:24/2.8,28/2.5,35/1.8,50/1.4,100/2.5,135/2.8,C/Y Zeisses: Distagon 25/2.8,28/2.8,Planar 50/1.7,Sonnar 85/2.8,ZE/ZF Zeisses : Planar 50/1.4,Distagon 25/2.8,Planar 85/1.4,Hexanons AR:50/1.7, 40/1.8,35/2.8,28/3.5 - older and better seven lensers,Rolleinars HFT:50/1.8,35/2.8,OM Zuikos: 28/3.5,35/2.8,50/1.8,100/2.8 and so one and so forth.
There are so many beautiful, old MF lenses at bargain prices.I'm buying the ones I appreciate best before they disappear.Such excellent pieces of engineering and optics with unique, unrepeatable character.
If one day somebody makes an adapter Sony E-Nikon F which will allow IS,AF and electronic aperture control,I'll buy Nikkor Micro 105/2.8 VR again as well, though all-singi'n,all dancin'n mordern lenses are not my priority. _________________ shapencolour |

Regret selling some lenses with c-mount, that were hard to use before Mft.
And some large format lenses. I guess in a few years we will have a 4x5 inch chip.
Prices will boom then for large format lenses. |

But the most misssed lenses / Equipment is my Rolleiflex SL66SE and 30,50,80150mm Zeiss lenses...
money from sale is gone, and lenses too!

Gosh, I can feel your pain on that one. Ouch! Yeah, sadly the money goes all too quickly and chances are whatever you bought will not retain its value the way a great old camera outfit does. Even in these days of cheap medium format gear, the SL66 still demands a premium. _________________ Michael

I keep my lenses, so no regret.
But my Rolleiflex 6x6 TLR with a Tessar f3,5 was stolen many years ago. This lens had really sharpness and contrast and made nice B&W pictures.

I don't regret selling any of them, in fact I appreciate the additional space gained
In all seriousness, I know which lenses I don't use, so it's a case of whether having them "just in case" is a reasonable use of shelf space _________________ Graham - Moderator

I am reaching this point too, although the case is more because my wife do NOT allow me to use any other shelf _________________ Regards,

I'm happy that I've regained one of my big losses; I picked up a Zeiss Planar 85/1.4 MMJ just before Christmas, (£389 from Ffordes) replacing the one I sold last January.
It's off to eBay with the 85/2.8 AEJ and now I just need a sensibly priced 18mm Distagon to complete my set… _________________ Canon + Contax + Minolta + Nikon + Olympus + Pentax + Yashica = Adaptall-2 |
