A nerdy game i made up Confused

Let's say that you for some reason have a large budget and that you want to build an extensive lens setup. You can however only have one lens in each category and you can only own one lens from each manufacturer. Everything should be top notch, no lemons. The thing is, you want to have lenses from as many manufacturers as possible.

Here's my go at it:

15mm: Voigtlander 15/4.5
17mm: Tokina RMC 17/3.5
19mm: X-Fujinon EBC 19/3.5
21mm: Contax Zeiss 21/2.8
24mm: Samyang 24/1.4
28mm: Hexanon UC 28/1.8
Fast small normal: Olympus Pen-F 40/1.2
Fast 50: Porst 50/1.2 (EBC)
Normal: Contax G 45/2
Bokeh normal: Minolta Rokkor 58/1.2
75mm: Leica APO-Summicron 75/2
85mm: Canon FD 85/1.2 Asph
100mm: Olympus OM 100/2
135mm: Vivitar 135/2.8 Close Focusing
180mm: Tamron SP 180/2.5
Fast 200mm: Nikon Nikkor AI-S 200/2
Short macro: Pentax SMC K 50/4
Long macro: Kiron 105/2.8
Short zoom: Angenieux 35-70/2.5-3.3
Mirror lens: Perkin Elmer 450/4.5

Could not fit in any Yashica lenses and did not get anything above 200mm (except the mirror lens) in my list. Hmm.... Shocked Laughing

Boring answer would be one of the latest full frame SLRs and a full set of modern Zeiss T* glass for it:

Carl Zeiss 15mm ƒ/2.8 Distagon T*
Carl Zeiss 18mm ƒ/3.5 Distagon T*
Carl Zeiss 21mm ƒ/2.8 Distagon T*
Carl Zeiss 25mm ƒ/2.0 Distagon T*
Carl Zeiss 28mm ƒ/2.0 Distagon T*
Carl Zeiss 35mm ƒ/1.4 Distagon T*
Carl Zeiss 50mm ƒ/1.4 Planar T*
Carl Zeiss 50mm ƒ/2.0 Makro-Planar T*
Carl Zeiss 85mm ƒ/1.4 Planar T*
Carl Zeiss 100mm ƒ/2.0 Makro-Planar T*
Carl Zeiss 135mm ƒ/2.0 Apo Sonnar T*
Carl Zeiss 180mm f/2.8 Sonnar T*

Yes but that would be too easy. The rules are clear, each manufacturer can be used once only. Twisted Evil

I thought you wanted to know what the choices would be if money were no object. Different manufacturers makes it a bit tricky.

Exactly! This is a game I made up for my boring night shift...
