To my surprise, these little gem is able of shooting very sharp and saturated pictures with its small 42/2.8 Zuiko lens. A nice focal for landscapes. The sealing and relubricating has proven successful.

Here you have some unretouched shots. The remaining ones from this roll are at the gallery: http://www.mflenses.com/gallery/v/mfl_club_members/jesito/rangefinders/oly35/

#1 Plum tree

#2 Seat closeup

#3 Harbour view

#4 Coast view

#5 Garraf beach view

#6 Building in Barcelona

#8 Cleaning the beach at dawn

They always were good little cameras and that lens is capable of holding its own against some stiff competition in that class.
Nice rebuild job - good to see another one rescued.

Those are good photos, I can see that the little Oly is a nifty tool.

It's hard to pick a fave, I love the colors and the machine in the last one, and the building slab calls out to me also.

Very nice job, Jes, on the CLA AND the pics! What film did you use?

I use to use FUJI SENSIA 200 for all testing with old-new cameras. I'ts not expensive and it's easily available here. I use the same film for all testing to be able to compare the results...

impressive quality, easy to understand why oly35RC is so beloved

Jes, still marveling at your results with Sensia 200! I'll have to look for this,
Freestyle sells the 100, don't think they have the 200 but will check. I'm
taking a roll of Fujicolor 400 over to be developed tomorrow, low light city
scenes, will see what happens. Here's one of my favorite shots with the
Oly 35RC using cheap Arista 400 color film:

I shot this with a DSLR, same scene, but could never get the colors to come
any where close to this.

That's weird, I get the Debug error thing and thought I'd lost my post, but
didn't.

Some times lost, sometimes not ... depend from luck only.

Very nice shoot!

You're ritght, The engineers at Olympus did a good job with the lens+light measuring...
I started buying Sensia because they were selling an offer a pack of 3 rolls by the price of two for less than 5€. Now are 6€ but I like the film. Not as much as Velvia, but this one is much more expensive.

BTW, your shot is impressive, perfect lighting and nice composition...

Jes, Freestyle does sell Sensia 200...for $7.95 per roll! Mad I get the 3-roll
pack of Sensia 100 for $14.99, not bad at all. Still, I think I will try it since
it offers a little more leeway in lighting. Did you buy the 36-exp rolls? I
worry about the film getting jammed-up in the Oly as it has a slightly less
than robust film transport system. Seen some remarks over at RFF about
this.

Lovely pictures from a lovely camera. Olympus fans tend to get excited about the Olympus XA, but I have always like the RC better - bigger viewfinder, better controls.

No Bill, I don't use 36 exp rolls, but the 24 ones. 36 are too many for an impatient person like me Smile
So no worries about jamming.

It must be a good feeling to get nice pictures knowing you rebuilt the camera.

It's very rewarding when you go to the photolab and you see for the first time the first pictures and all of them appear not to be overexposed Smile.
Honouring the true, this doesn't happens always...

Big apologies to everybody, specially to Bill.

My brain must be suffering from age, the cheap Fuji film that I use for testing is not SENSIA but SUPERIA.
Ive notice it when cleaning the film box, there were some empty boxes and some full, and all of them were SUPERIA 200...

I'm so sorry!. Maybe these names are synonimes inside my brain.
