I recently had a interesting experience with this chap.

I got an m42 smc 50/1.4 Takumar. It looked good, but when I examined it carefully with a torch it had a light scratch on the rear element, a first spot of fungus (outer surface rear element) and was quite dusty. I asked for a refund plus both postages (as this was his fault). He immediately agreed without fuss. In the end I didn't send it back because another fungal lens went for the same price and I already knew it was an easy fix. The light scratch was irrelevant really, and the dust didn't require action.

I was thinking that perhaps he's given up because the new ebay feedback system works against him such that he can't turn a decent profit for the hassle.

Welcome !

Rocky will come back and will sell again thousands of stuff trouble free, in his volume impossible to check every small details and keep low prices what he did.

A distinct possibility Dave as I have dealt with an army surplus shop (no problems to date) that was on Ebay but went to websales for that very reason and were quite open about it.
