Yes, very much !
That is because planar projection in this case is stretching the edges extremely.
I rendered only about 1/10th of the quality as it actually is because of time-questions. It will look different if I render the image with about 150-200 Megapixel and then scale down with PSP. Resolution in the edges will be fine then ...
