I just thought this was interesting: Click here to see on Ebay
It is clearly a jupiter 12. Blue coating, "," instead of "." separator on the focus scale, and obviously the whole body design.
The dead giveaway though: The bakelite case has the KMZ logo on it.

I doubt it is anything the seller did personally. The Jupiter was probably faked 30 years ago. Whether he is being willfully ignorant on the subject is another matter entirely. |

Doubt it. His user name indicates someone into photography and if you check his transactions from the last 90 days all of them are of cameras, lenses and photo gear.
He is no "I've found it in the grandma's attic." seller. Maybe he did not fake it but I think he knows.
Someone should send him a message and see his reaction. _________________ Camera shutter testers for speeds up to 1/1000th of a second. $14.99 |

Agreed. And being a specialist of selling photography gear does not make you a specialist of photographic gears Here, it's quite unusual and your evidences are CSI-like ones I put aside the KMZ logo on the case, because it's on the case, not on the lens - it does tell that the case belongs to a russian lens, not that this lens is russian. _________________
