One year after returning, I finally went throug all my photos from Armenia... I travelled through the country for six weeks with tent and backpack, and not to forget a camera and assorted lens. The whole report of 301 photos can be found on my zenfolio-website, but I have made a somewhat condensed overview of my personal favorites, not necessarily because of their photographic aesthetics, but because of the emotional value (for me) they carry. This overview can also be found on my zenfolio-website: Armenia in 32 photos.

Some examples:

Yerevan cascades

Fortress/monastery of Akhtala

Meeting the Mystifying

Still standing 20 years after the earthquake

Thanks for looking Smile

Excellent series on your zenfolio site!! Congrats!
I ´have friends in Yerevan and I know the history
and what people went though - but they preserved
theit warneheartedness and share the little they have
thanks to their deep believing in God. A very spiritual
place in the world. Have you seen Mt Ararat?

Armenia a spiritual place? I cannot but agree with that... If you are in Armenia, you also "feel" why. I also saw Mt Ararat, in the distance. It is quite an imposing mountain and guaranteed a pain in the *ss for the Armenians as they are constantly reminded of their fate.
