Two of my most precious jewels have been adjusted for infinity by a professional lab.
I am extremely happy that now I can use them without restraints on my Canons Very Happy

Samyang offers a 1.4/35 and a 1.4/85 and it should be possible to get very close to this results with them, too.

Interesting, the Samyangs are quite affordable.

True, i saw lots of samples from the 85 and the 35 and they look good indeed.
Not the same heritage but the results are good for the price.

Makes you wonder if Samyang copied the Zeiss designs...

No, they're different.
However, it's still a 1.4/35 and 1.4/85 - laws of physics say that they should behave similarly.
Of course there will be some differences but the general concept of the photo will be replicable.

What I'm not sure about is price, while the Sam 1.4/35 will surely be much more affordable than the Distagon,
I'm not sure that a used Contax Planar 1.4/85 will be much different in price from a new Samyang 1.4/85

The Samyang 85 goes for 280€ new and i saw twice under the 200€ mark.

With some patience, it is possible to find Contax Planar 1.4/85 at around 400 Euros, especially if you don't mind some minor wear.

But the laws of technology says that Samyangs should be very much better. If the laws of the markets didn't say otherwise? Smile

Thanks Smile The lighting set is a mixed one, two continuous lamps and one flash.
The light box costed me... 0,20 Euros, the price of a white light cardboard sheet Wink
