Just a simple image of a Nootka Rose bloom. You can smell the sweet
scent of these flowers from a long distance away. It is always a nice
surprise when a breeze blows over the flowers, and carries the straw-
berry and cinnamon scent to lure me in. Very Happy

Beautiful work Larry!
Photos like this one (of flowers especially) show that film has still a place in the digital world! Especially if handled by a master like you.

How can a person REALLY go wrong with such a lens as the 90? Cool

Thank you for your reply, Klaus.

I am particularly impressed with the color rendition of the CV 90, Tobias.
It has its own definite "signature", and when I go through my trannies, I
am now just about always able to know which ones were shot with that
fine lens.

You flatter me, Orio....and I like it! Just don't tell anyone, okay?

Film DOES have its place as simply another tool to use for imaging.

I'm saddened that the daffodils that must have been showing up, are now
enveloped in snow once again. But, I think that the snow will insulate
them from any very low temperatures, and hopefully they will "spring"
up again. (pun intended). Very Happy

Yup, wide open indeed. No doubt one of the best lenses I've ever owned.

You are a man of few words, poilu! But I like your honesty from past
comments, and I know that if you say "superb", then you MEAN superb. Smile

I was asked if I did any "post processing", and yes I did.

1. Increased saturation by +12 for the whole image.

2. Utilized "autosharpen" in Photoshop Elements 8.

The transparency is definitely so sharp that it's silly, but in transition
to scanning and to the web, I needed to sharpen up the file that I saved
for the web. Fortunately, PSE 8 does a good job of being gentle on the
image. Cool

Just beautiful Larry. I'll be glad when we start to get that kind of weather.

You and I are almost at the same latitude, but we have the warmer ocean
currents (I think) which moderates our weather. I'm assuming that most
of your wind comes from the west? If so, then I'm sure it is significantly
cooled over the land. But then again, nothing like a Nor'easter!

All that said, I'm hoping you have a warm Spring. Besides, The Professor
is probably anxious to get out onto grass and jump around! Laughing

I never paid much attention to the wind direction except when it comes in from the cold north Atlantic.

We would all love to get out on the green grass. Unfortunately we got 13 to 14 inches of snow a couple of days ago.

Holy Cow! It's uncommon for us to get 13 inches of snow TOTAL for the winter months. Shocked What a wild difference between the east coast and the west coast, even at similar latitudes. I'm thinking now that you must get a lot of cold air sinking into Maine from the Canadian Shield.
