... not much space any more for snow around our house ...

I whish I could send you some, want to get rid of some in the garden and the roof.
But I have to warn you shipping fees are quite expensive in Austrian post offices Very Happy

the roofs of houses in our area are built to handle lots of snow.
some years ago winters were much "stronger", I remember on my parents' house 2 meter
of compressed snow was very common.

Nevertheless I had a specialist in here to check the roof 2 weeks ago. He meant 1 meter
more and we should take action to remove some ...

Great pics - as usual! I like #1 most.

Here in Finland, the (small house) roofs should bear a snow load of about 200 - 300 kgs/m2. I don´t fear the roof collapsing, but at least in our house, when the weather gets warmer, the snow glides down from the roof in front of the house, and I have to shovel it away. That´s hard work...
