HAPPY NEW YEAR ! Very Happy
This is the first trial I made yesterday with my "brand new" Helios-40 alu from 1963.

Shot handheld wide open (click on the pic)

EOS 40D | 85mm | f:1.5 | 1/50s | Iso 200

You know what, I'm happy. Wink
Cheers.

Nice Olivier. That Helios takes some getting used to, but it can reward with some ultra sharp results and unique OOF

I think Helios are very underrated and still very cheap.

I must get a few.

Enjoy your new lens.

Thank you all. Smile

Andy, Helios are generally cheap but this one not really.

I think the days of really cheap lenses are over unless you can find them in Charity shops or at boot fairs. In my local town i went round asking but the reply was that they already had people that go round regularly asking for lenses and old cameras.
