Well, it's not noise-free, but I kind of like what it does:

cropped to square

I wouldn't call it a lot of noise for 1600 Bill. I like also.

Thanks, Ron, there's a small group on flickr, Fuji F10 with only 33 members, yeah, I'm the 33rd one, and some of the pics are amazing!
One guy does awesome macros with this cam.

Wow, that is a small F10 group - the one I joined way back is

It's an amazing little camera. Unfortunately ours is permanently stuck on the regular auto mode as the rotating switch seems to be broken.

Excellent photo by the way, very expressive

Nesster, I got this for $69 and is a factory refurb with full 90 day Fuji warranty. The vendor forgot to send me the 1GB card, camera cover,
and tripod, but it is in the mail to me. Seems to have a great lens in it.

I just joined your group, too, thanks!

nice sample Bill!
burned parts are quite natural
sad that Fuji stop with those sensor and join megapixels war

You should get good results with that, Bill. I believe it used the same sensor as the S7000, which I find the IQ of very acceptable, and the Fujinon lens does its job more than adequately.

Poilu and Dave, thanks for your comments. I'm very pleased with this
camera and hope to try some night shots with it. Seen some great night
stuff on flickr. The macro is VERY decent, too.
