I backpacked in Myanmar last year. It was somewhat of a photographic learning vacation Smile Lenses I used there (all Nikon): 20mm f/3.5 (MF), 24-70mm f/2.8 (AF), 35mm f/1.4 (MF), 50mm f/1.2 (MF) and 70-300mm VR (AF). I also carried a tripod and Nodal Ninja panoramic head with me. With this message, I publically declare the Myanmar gallery on my zenfolio-website to be opened! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Click here to see the complete gallery of 138 photos

Some examples:

Hope you enjoy Smile

Ahh yes, some awesome captures here, as I already mentioned on Nikongear. The white/grey fog shot vertical, with fisherman would make a fine print. Would it be possible to purchase photos from SmugMug? I don't know the service and I am on mobile connection right now, hard to google.

Thank you for the replies Smile

Exactly... There was considerable luck involved though. At that time, the sun was still behind the hills surrounding the lake. There were some clouds but only few. There was one (!) cloud that could not get over the hill tops and created a phenomenon that we know as mist. And I was even more lucky there was a fisherman in that mist as well Smile

I don't use smugmug, but it is possible to order prints via zenfolio as well. For Europe, you can order prints using Photobox. I have this printing service enabled on my website, but I have uploaded only small size/low resolution photos on my website - good for viewing, not for printing. If you are interested, I temporarily upload a decent version in a private section so you can have it printed and sent to you.

I will now learn to use InDesign to create an e-book. I want to experiment with writing and combine with the photos.

Wonderful pictures. I was in Birma myself in 1981, just a one-week-visa these times. It was one of the greatest trips in my life, and I deeply regret now that I didn't take any pictures in these years, as I was fed up lugging so much stuff around.
I'll certainly visit your site ever now and then, when I get home-sick.

Thanks for showing
Thomas
