thank you Abbazz. The parade when the ogoh ogoh will be taken around town will happen this evening and I shall take some photos again, but I am also pleased with that one and don't expect that I shall take any other that I shall like better, but then surprise is one aspect of photography that I like very much _________________ my photos on flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/collections |

Speaking of surprise, I find surprising that you seem to have no corner smearing with the Color Skopar on your A7...
Cheers!

thank you. I am in Ubud. Unfortunately the parade only is stating at around 7 PM, after sunset. As far as I could see this year again 'older' teenagers or youth had been making the Ogoh Ogoh, but still it is not allowed for the procession to start earlier in the day. Years ago it used to be start earlier but then there had been incidents of groups of youth fighting each other and only smaller kids were allowed to do the procession and only after sunset. Each "Banjar', the smallest Balinese social unity, one may say 'neighbourhood', makes a Ogoh Ogoh statue and there is some rivalry, as far as I understand it often was more splits along political party lines. _________________ my photos on flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/collections |

Abbazz generally the Skopar 4/21 fares noticeably better than both my Heliar 4.5/15 I and Skopar 4/25 and imo better than one may deduct from reports on the net. My album with photos taken with the 4/21, the first 47 pics seen ( minus the right now second one, the custom bike ) had been taken with the A7: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/albums/72157632037409165
The 4/25 often is ok too. The first some 30 pics were taken on the A7 ( some photos had been cropped ) https://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/albums/72157633352494287
The 4/15 version I fares worse, but if there is a cclour shift resp. one that is disturbing depends very much on the scene, are most disturbing in the sky but hardly ever in night photos.
this one I took yestaerday with the Heliar 4.5/15 ver.I on the A7, uncropped and corners untreated:
