I tried nikkor kogaku 5cm/1,4, sharp enough at wideopen. but I like smoothness of this zeiss much.

Wow, you had tried the Nikkor-S.C 1.4/50 Shocked
this lens had been on the number one spot of my most wanted list for quite a while last year.
from what your images taken with the Opton tell the Zeiss is quite sharp wide open too, right?

butterfly subject is fantastic !

Sorry for late reply, I forgot this topic Very Happy.. Yes this lens is quite sharp, but has glowing. I tried the nikkkor only few test shots, not mine Smile

Thanks versanteest, yes its quite pricy today. I was lucky when I got it less than ebay price.
