arrived yesterday Smile

I like:
- sharpness (a least on 1.7x Sigma)
- acceptable level of CA
- close focusing
- solid feel

could be better:
- aperture ring and A/M switch are very close

I must adapt to:
- insane contrast

first attempts (sharpness set to 0 in RAW converter for all samples)

f/8

3rd is in back-light

wide open

(last one is evening shot at ISO400)

poilu: no, these samples are not further edited. It is possible, that LPOF and debayering process reduce significantly this level of CA on conventional sensor, but foveon, which doesn't apply theses filters, displays it more markedly

F16SUNSHINE: thank you Smile

Here are two more test samples from yesterday. These two make me feel strange. I don't speak about the optical performace, but the peliculiar atmosphere...

CMOS image sensor, which uses principles of film - 3 layers and each captures 1 primary color (R/G/B), so for each pixel all 3 primary colors are captured. Conventional sensors use single-layer covered by R/G/B/G mask (bayer mask) and for each pixel is captured only one color - the rest is interpolated by camera processor (debayering filter).
