Great shots!

We should indeed honour the former Zeiss Chief Designer Professor Dr.-Ing. Ehard Glatzel, he achieved some outstanding results!

I know this site -- and I have read it ..

He had to be a man with a sharp eye for detail in his work ..

So, I am correcting my topic title --

Zeiss bless us and GOD BLESS YOU, Mr. GLAZTLEL ..

And THANK YOU ..

Is there any site listing the most famous designs and their authors? There are some random mentions on some websites, but som of them are antagonistic (e.g. for Biotar 58/2, Plasmat lenses...)

Congratulations Trifox for the beautiful pictures.
On one hand, the brown eyes of your daughter would make any lens shine, even a Trashogon Wink
On the other hand, it is obvious that the MP60 is a great lens. At the fair, I had the chance to buy one, but at the same time there was a nice Macro Elmarit 60 and remembering Veijo's images, I opted for the Leica lens. Which I do not regret at all. But it looks like I'll have to get a MP60 too, in the future.

Very nice. Macro lenses usually have a long focus throw, right? Would this one be short enough to track a fast moving daughter (mine is 5)?

I used to have Leica Macro-Elmarit 2.8/60-R --

well, great LENS -- optically the same as Zeiss MP 60 (I suppose that Leica copied the Zeiss formula, Smile))

Leica is PERFECT -- there's not doubt, .. But I am suffering the Zeiss illness Smile

Leica 2.8/60 fringes a bit in comparison to Zeiss MP 60 - (my experience with 30D sensor)

I sold Leica and found quickly Zeiss MP 60 for really good price -- what a coincidence!

Orio, I have got one picture from yesterday -- taken by MP 60
If you'd be so kind to process it Smile -- you are perfect in this
If so, let me know -- I'll send a link to RAW file...

MP 60 is especially good for longer distances and its distortion is corrected VERY WELL !!

@ wintoid -- yes -- it's very hard to focus -- I used LiveView on 5D MKII -- it works PERFECT..
(in some cases, it's FASTER than AF and more ACCURATE)

I don't know a site, but try to get the book "Carl Zeiss Jena - Entwicklung und Beschreibung der Photoobjektive und ihre Erfinder" by Hartmut Thiele.
It's in German but perhaps you know someone who can translate it.
I always wanted to translate the most important texts, but I don't have the time at the moment...
