We've had the "What not to sell" This thread is for what you are looking to buy if it becomes available for a reasonable price. (whatever is reasonable for you)
Me:
Printing Nikkor 90mm 2.8
Voigtlander Apo Lanthar 125mm 2.5 macro
Olympus OM 90mm f2 macro
I also have a long watch list on e-bay. (I'm jealous of you folk that have a large enough used markets to find treasures in flea markets and 2nd hand shops, For me even craigslist is mostly a waste of time)
I watch for bargains mostly but also pricing trends.
Recent treasure find Olympus OM 24mm f2 in near pristine shape at a BIN of 160 . (I dream of a complete collection of the Oly 'deuces' F2 or 1.2 lenses. I lucked into a 40mm f2 and have the 85mm f2 and now the 24mm f2 I also have the 55mm 1.2 but not the 50mm 1.2) _________________ photos are moments frozen in time |

I've had one of these for ages, it's in nice condition except for a lack of paint on one side of the aperture ring where the brass shines through. It hasn't worn away, it missed the spray gun in the factory. It's just visible in this picture at the bottom of the ap' ring - compared the black surfaces each side of it.
It's a decent enough lens, which it should be being a Minolta mount Chinese copy of the Russian Helios 44M which was itself a copy of the German Zeiss Biotar; that's a great heritage. But in reality it's not as good as any of my Minolta 50ish lenses.
I't's not on my keeper list, but it's not in my for sale boxes either.

As I have everything manual (around 150 lenses) and set of L for Canon EOS, some good autofocus lenses for Sony E mount FF will be nice to have. The Sigma 19/2,8 for Sony crop sensor and a very mediocre Sony 28-70 kit one, are not enough. |

Well, here's a list, but I don't know about the "reasonable" bit.
A really nice FF camera or two. One mirrorless, one not. Not sure which brand I'd go with.
Canon LTM 50mm f/0.95 or, barring that, a LTM 50mm f/1.2 will do
Canon FD 14mm f/2.8 L
Canon FD 24mm f/1.4 Aspherical
Canon FD 55mm f/1.2 Aspherical
Canon FD 200mm f/1.8L
Canon FD 300mm f/2.8 L
Canon FD 600mm f/4 L
Rolleiflex SL66 -- complete outfit
Deardorff 4x5 Field Camera with complete complement of lenses and film holders -- or equivalent
I think that about does it -- for now. _________________ Michael

That's what I thought! Looked it up. It is an inexpensive Chinese knock off of the venerable CZJ Biotar 58mm f2.

There are a bunch that I'm keeping my eye out for, but the top of my list is the Leica APO-ELMARIT-R 180mm f/2.8 v.II #11357. Only a few hundred were made.
I bought one from KEH a couple years ago and then, while it was in transit to me, another one popped up on eBay. Once the lens arrived, it turned out to be the first version, #11273, and KEH had mislabeled it on their website. This first version is not compatible with the APO-Extender 1.4x and has ninja-star bokeh highlights. KEH paid for the return shipping and gave me a full refund, but when I then went back to eBay, the one listed there had sold. To this day, that's the only time I've seen this lens for sale. |

Would still be interesting to try though.
I fear such a creature will remain in the un-obtanium range for me.
A little (?) more realistically, the Bronica SQ-A and 3 lens set with speed grip that I had.
I think the most realistic desire for me would be a long (300mm) telephoto in Nikkor ED glass...
