I have very fond memories of Adox KB14.
Unfortunately, they are not so easy to find these days.

To me C41 color films are out of interest , I got excellent result with cheap Fuji 200 color and not better with Fuji pro films

I not recommend to stock it, just if you find some good deal let's say 0.5 EUR/each. I am fond of E-6 and B&W.

B&W usually more popular , lot more better and costly of course. I do like really Fomapan 100 rebranded also as Arista Edu,
cheap and excellent. Buy in bulk even more cheaper or/and expired ones.
.. and this factory works only from eastern block as eastern guys we must support it Laughing

The film I love more are all discontinued Crying or Very sad

For colour negative, my preference is for Agfa Optima (discontinued time ago) and Ferraniacolor (discontinued a couple of years ago,
maybe you can still find some left somewhere if you're lucky).
Of the currently existing colour negative films, there is only one that I like, it's Fuji Pro 400H (expensive!)

For colour positive, my favourite was Agfachrome 100 (discontinued), of the currently existing ones
I like only Provia 100 and 400.

For B&W, I second twinquartz, my favourite are Adox/Efke films. Both discontinued last August Crying or Very sad
I prefer Adox KB17 though (Efke 50), because Adox KB14 (Efke 25) is very "bitchy" to use, as it requires perfect exposure,
otherwise it "loses" highlights very quickly. The 50 ISO version instead is sweet as apple pie Smile
Adox KB21 (Efke 100) was also good although not on par with the 25 and 50 ISO versions.
Of currently existing films, I have enjoyed Rollei Retro 80s and Rollei Superpan 200, they are cheap but good.
I have bought a bulk roll of Rollei Retro 100 Tonal which is panortho like the Adox/Efke, so I expect to like it even better.
Of the more commonly found film, Kodak T-Max 100 and 400 are excellent, as is Delta 400. Detailed to the incredible.
But if you want to obtain from them the same luscious tones as the Adox/Efke panorthos, you need to work a lot on choosing
the right developer. With TMax developer, you obtain very detailed negatives and prints, but perhaps a bit "cold" in character.

Fomapan 100 is very good. For price, a 152m bulk roll of Polypan F 50 is the best bargain atm, it's Ilford Pan F 50 emulsion on a thin clear polyester base. I paid 38ukp inc shipping from Germany, works out at only 30p a roll, about 1/15th the price of a roll of Pan F 50 here.
