KW Reflex box & Kodak Junior-16

I bought two cameras Cad$50 at a local side walk sale.




I didn't know KW's reflex box was rather expensive, though it was not in
a great shape but works albeit it has a light leak. Kodak's camera needs
620 film, so I never used it. Here is BW shot by Reflex box, film used is
ILFORD II (memory is fading, less contrast one sure). Both are 6 x 9.



Reflex box makes scratch on film and has light leak, but I did not fix it.
It should be kept as the original for a future collector.

Gee, the above photo is much darker in here. The same one on my computer
screen (iMac 20") has less contrast. It looks too good. hahaha
On other topic, Veijo said AOV of this camera is about that of 45mm for 35mm
camera, but I felt much wider when I used it. Maybe my illusion, Box is big!!

Koji, that shot looks very good on my monitor!

I agree about the lens seeming wider than what Veijo wrote, but I know
better than to question him!

The 105mm length is a standard one for 6x9 cameras... like 75/80 mm is for the 6x6's. Hoever due to differing frame ratios the angle of view will differ both horizontally and vertically when compared to 35mm.

That folder's in damn nice shape and makes a good photo. Looks about right on my work monitor. Folders with their front cell focus are often optimal at middle distances, rather than at infinity.

So he did! way cool. They're harder to hide from the wife when I attempt to smuggle them in, but looks like worthy pieces! Good show Koji!

One of the old medium format cams I think is cool is the Optika IIa, wonder
if Koji owns this fine instrument as well. Hardly ever see them on ebay, and
when you do, it's a bloodfest.

I do like that box reflex - Ensign made something similar, but it was considerably clunkier looking than that. I saw one on ebay a couple of weeks ago.

Actually I found them at a side walk sale, my wife negotiated the price down to $50.
I do not know about Optica IIa.
