Film is Reala 100 and still badly curled. I've ordered an ANR insert from
Betterscanning to help flatten the film:

Scanned at 2400dpi, low USM, grain reduction on.

I think it's good result in hard condition (sunny landscape with water). I like the blue shades on the tree in number 4 Smile

Thanks, fellas, too kind and yes, the lighting wasn't ideal in most of these.
When I get the ANR insert will try to see if there's some improvement on
the glare I see in some of these shots.

Thanks again,

Bill

The second image, with the HUGE contrast, would normally make mince-meat out of most exposures. However, I think this one was really nailed. The glinting highlights off the rapids are not overblown, yet your shadow detail is really fine. The combination of the fine Yashinon lens, Reala, and the good scan contributed to a finely delineated image with good detail resolution.

They are all nice, but for some reason the perceived (to me) technical difficulty of the second image show great work, not just from the software, but from the photographer.

Nice results, Bill. Obviously a great little lens on that - and the taker of the pics helps too.

Larry, Dave, and Jes, thanks much for your comments! Here's one last scan,
my buddy and his daughter picking up the Boxster I borrowed when he had
to use my pickup to move his boat. I never park his car next to anybody,
ever! Laughing

Going to wait for the ANR glass before I scan any more of these. Most are
obviously uncropped images, except for the fisherman pic.

Thanks again,

Bill

Ron, yes, that's the back acreage that I use quite a lot to test cams.

Great Bill, all of them, both the photography and the scanning. If there are any flare problems or any OOF due to film curl then I can't see it. I hope you're pleased with the scanning insert but I really can't see what you're worried about.

I like the fisherman shot. He looks as if he is afraid of the water, standing way back from the edge. Got gators around there?

Peter, I see a few anomalies, especially the tapering inward at the bottom
of some of these shows the negative is not flat. Will see how the insert
performs. Granted if I placed the negatives in thick books and wait a few
days would probably cure most of the problem, I'm just not into waiting
when I get the film back. Laughing

Mike, yes, I was wondering if anyone else thought that was amusing! Laughing
No gators, but we do have water moccasins to be mindful of. Didn't see
any at the park where this was taken (they have RC boat races held here)
but have to say I could've run into one in the first two pics of the Flint river.
My friends who are natives here tell me to watch out for these and that I'm
no longer in northern Idaho. Laughing When I took the first two pics the thought
of a venomous snake never entered my head. Embarassed

Thanks, fellas, for your comments.

They look very good to me. I wouldn't have spotted the film curvature if you hadn't pointed it out.

NICE auto shot! Good reds indeed.

Water Mocassins! Yikes! One thing about around here, there are no venomous snakes of any kind. In fact there are no dangerous animals or bugs or snakes at all...I suppose about the same in northern Idaho...

Larry, northern Idaho is somewhat similar to where you are. Black Mountain
at Talache Landing on Pend Oreille lake has sword ferns, trillium, much like
what I've seen in western Washington. We're just a little higher and dryer
and lack that verdant jungle you enjoy! Yep, no bad bugs (you hear an
isolated instance of someone finding a brown recluse in their house) and
no snakes that are venomous. Most the names where I'm from are French
(from French fur trappers, the first whites in the area) or native Indian names,
which is also similar to your area. You may not have that many French names of places,
but I remember a number of native Indian.

Thanks for your comments, and yes, I need to smarten up down here! Shocked

@Richard, thanks, too kind, hope to straighten some of these out in a few
days.
