What a nice way to come home - three packages were waiting for me at my neighbour's: my lens hood for my Industar-61, a Ricoh 500RF (nice little rangefinder cam, comparable to the Oly 35RC) and Orio's Volna-3!

Thanks, Orio! I really liked this lens from the forst moment on.

And here are two quick test shots: my kids, as you can see shortly after lunch. Wink

...
ISO400, indoors @ f4.

My first impression of the Volna-3:
- It might not be the sharpest lens I have, but it definitely is sharp enough.
- It shows a fantastic way to render colours and bokeh.
- It "feels" just great. (I kind of like big lenses.)

--> Perfect as a portrait lens! And this is what I like to use my 80mm lenses for.

To be honest, I guess, this will become one of my favourite portrait lenses, when I do no have to be quick!

It looks great on the camera and the pictures show that it works well. I like big lens also. Its like Christmas when you come home and have packages waiting.

You certainly have cute children. Your wee-one in the first picture has the same hair as my daughter and I.

It is a nice weighty thing and adds to the stability of the whole setup, I think. Even using my V-3 (Kiev 88 ) loosely in front of the P6/EOS adapter, it felt fine.

I used to be this blond as well, but I got a little "darker" from 30 on. Well, I am still fair-haired.

Very true! I manage to hold 1/30 sec quite steady with this 80mm lens on my 350D!

This was a couple of years ago, but not far off from your daughters. I was young then, only 63.
