Both of these lenses have great reputations regarding sharpness, color and contrast, but I haven´t found any site on the web that have compared them to each other.

Are there anybody here in this forum who have any experiences?

The Hexanon is very well regarded, and to my knowledge the Nikkor is just average.

i have not used the Nikon but the konica is very very good and likely far less money.

If you look at this older thread on this forum you'll see that the Nikon 50mm f1.8 is regarded as a very very good lens.

I used it on a Metabones Speedbooster on a m43 camera and was rather surprised at its performance wide open.

Both are very good lenses with no significant difference whatsoever - both wide open and stopped down.

See http://www.naturfotograf.com/lens_norm.html
Nikkor 50/1.8 and 50/2 are given 5 stars, excellent lenses.

Here's an album of mine walking around Ouray, CO, using Nikon AI 50mm f/1.8 (the same as the non pancake AI-S 50mm f/1.8 )

While doing my bokeh test of standard lenses i have checked also the center and corner resolution at diferent apertures.
The differences are very small.
Tomorrow i can make a few images both with the Nikon 1.8/50mm Series E (which has the same optical construction as the Nikkor 1.8/50mm) and the Hexanon AR 1.7/50mm.

A bit on the Nikkor history:

Search Nikon 50mm 1.8 "Long Nose", the consensus seems to be that the "long nose" version of AI or AI-S, is slightly better than the pancake version (same as Series E). e.g. http://photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00Fyur

Some more precise information can be found in Marco Cavinas article, although written in Italian (scroll down):

The measured MTFs in Marco Cavinas article suggest the contrary (ie the later Pancake / Series E computation is better):

I do only own the later Series E version; therefore i can't make a direct comparison between the two f1.8/50mm Nikkors.

What about the Hexar 28mm 3.5? I bought one of these together with the Hexanon 50 and a Zigma 80-200mm for only 30 USD.

Will a Hexanon 28mm produce so much better IQ than the Hexar that it is worth to buy it?

The Hexanon is definitely a much better lens than the Hexar. The three Hexar AR lenses (not to be confused with the M-mount Hexars of the 1990s), were entry level lenses made in the second half of the seventies. They were cheaper and less performing than their corresponding Hexanons. The Hexar 28 is a 5/5 construction lens, while the preferred Hexanon is 7/7 lens. The latter is better corrected and has better coatings, especially those made in the middle 1970s. This lens was made from 1965 to late 1977 and has an aperture that goes down to f16. A later, compact Hexanon 28 was made (1978-1987), also with a 5/5 construction and although it is also better than the Hexar, it is inferior to the 7/7 Hexanon. There are many threads on this forum devoted to the Hexanon 28s:

This one has a large number of samples showing what the Hexanon 28mm of 7/7 construction (and its owner!) are capable of:

On this thread you will find a description of all Konica-made 28mm lenses:
