Hello, I'm shopping around for affordable (no more than $200) 35mm f/2 lenses and the MIR 24M 35mm f/2 seems like a good investment. However, I can't seem to find lots of photos taken with it (Google results are disappointing).

If you own this lens, I would appreciate links to photos you've taken with it.

Thank you.

Don't have many pics yet, will definitely have to use the lens more. A few quick snaps to illustrate the lens...

Flare, f/2:

Flare, f/8:

Distortion and bokeh, f/2.8:

Flare and contrast in contra light, f/8:

In the case of the pic #1, how much 35 mm lenses take it with less flare at F/2? Not many, sure.

I can appreciate very low CA. Nice colors and not bad bokeh. Slight distortion too.

There are a few examples, but the lens seems OK for me.

Rino.

@aoleg: Thank you. I don't want to impose but if you've time, I'd appreciate shots taken indoors at night using available light, e.g., desk lamp, ceiling light, etc. It would be great if you can shoot your dog or cat too or anything with texture.

I am still waiting for another copy of MIR-24M to arrive (no longer have the first one). Will definitely use it to shoot more Smile

Many people love it, in my opinion a good average lens.

Hi, here's a set I took with the Mir-24M a while ago. I think this lens has really great character, lovely deep, warm and glowing colours.

You can find one or two others of mine if you seach for Mir-24M and my nickname on this forum. This includes a detailed comparison with Flek 2.4/35

I love this lens. It has a nice bokeh and very close focusing ability.

Hari: How would you rate this lens against others? F/2 performance? I'm assuming you have it and have experience with others.
