This little series of shots were taken at 8.30 this morning in my local town, waiting for the photo lab to open. It was Market Day today and they were setting up the stalls. I was only using up the film to see how well the auto exposure on this camera is working, but I'm pretty pleased with the results. No PP except USM (30%, 1,0) and resizing.

Chinon CE-3 Memotron camera (M42 mount) on Auto
Jessops 200 Everyday Diamond colour neg (outdated) Thanks to Carsten Smile
MIR 24M 2.0/35 lens with Hoya 1B filter (no hood)
All shots at f11, with stepless shutter speeds decided by the camera:

1 - The High Street

2

3 - Exotic fruits

4 - This building is called "The Pepper Pot". It was built in the early 1700s to collect the tolls from stagecoaches travelling between London & Oxford

5

6 - The entrance to All Saints Parish Church

7 - The footpath around the church

I think I was caught out by how wide the angle of view is on a 35mm lens at full frame, and also the amount of vertical distortion. I'm too used to the crop camera I guess.

Very good results. Seems that the light meter works well Wink
Yes, I too don't have to use often PP then I work with film. That is weird. May be the scanner from the lab makes the adjustments (some sort of auto-leveling), or may be not. I don't know.

I've only had one roll scanned by a lab, the quality was terrible. These were scanned on the V700. But you're right. These colours on negative film have all been reversed and corrected for the orange cast by the software in Full Auto mode before it churns out the pictures, and the results are pretty impressive I think. My old Agfa scanner software couldn't do it at all.

I suppose with V700 any film can be show good result Wink Good to see old cameras and films works so fine in "digital ages". Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Orio. I had to go into the town this morning to deliver some documents and the photolab is right next door, so I thought I'd use the opportunity and take the two test films in for developing. The film in the Chinon still had about 10 shots to go, so I just wandered around firing off the shutter at nothing in particular until they opened! It was a lovely morning too, we do have sunshine in GB sometimes. Wink (28 today)

I agree that the colours have the same sort of saturation as those I took, but you have next to no discernible grain on these. Nice shots too.
