Anyone experimented with them? Looking for some examples how good they can be or how rubbish they are (I suspect the latter in older printers, tbh), but I'm intruigued by the idea of knocking some out and looking for pointers for minimum/optimum dot requirements, any special printer software preferred (preferably free) and paper type, etc.
I don't mind gritty - gritty is good, but tricks to smooth out things a bit would help.
