It's OK, but tends to the typical Tamron slight purple fringing. Most of the time it's not there, but if you look for it, you'll find it.

100% crop from that (and bear in mind it was a Canon 10D of 6Mp)

Hi,

Recently I bought Tamron 17A 35-70/3.5 and must say I was positively surprised. Colour rendition is just stunning for me, sharpness is all right wide open and it's nicely sharp when stopped down. What's more I done some test shots to find some CA, but to my surprise there wasn't any, doesn't matter what apperture or focal lenght. I could easily recomend 17A as it's quite cheap and for me has useful focal range on APS-C.
I'll post some photos when I get home.

There are opinions that Tamron SP 28-80 is a lot better, well I don't have this one so could not argue, and the focal range is even better. However if you have opportunity to buy 17A cheap then buy it and you won't be dissapointed.

Photos taken with Tamron 17A, EOS 600d, JPGs straight from body.
Photos were taken at various apertures between 3.5 and 8 probably, really don't remember which photo exactly at what aperture.
