From this time I'd like to store all images on mflenses.com include forum images I wouldn't like to see broken imaged because links not works from any reason. Please use "Upload picture" button. You can find in the right top corner right above post box. This solution is smarter than was before (Imageshack) allow to upload multiply images and you can insert images with one click , don't need to copy and paste from an another site.

If you would like to link from your site because more convince that would be ok, but I would like to ask you to use this button instead if possible. Might be you not keep your payable account and some time later images will not available for us.

Many thanks for your co-operation! Please let me know if you have any kind of trouble!

Attila, isn't 800 pixels the wide side a bit too small?
I think we voted for 900.

I think 800 or 768 should be ok for most monitors.

I am also having trouble with uploading. Pop up works fine, file choice works fine, but when I click "gallery" the next pop-up says 0 files uploaded/ok and has a "back" button.? Please advise me how to do it right. I am using Safari and have resized jpg's.
Thanks Andy

1) select picture (browse)
2) click on send link

Might be you couldn't see it please maximize popup window.

don't click immediately to gallery link because if not uploaded anything that would be empty.

Hi Andy, that's the same I was experiencing, it's related to the picture size. Please try with a smaller one. The max size is 900x768.
With smaller pictures I've been able to upload without problems.
Best regards.
Jes.

PostPosted: Fri Feb 15, 2008 9:35 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

No delete function... it will stay on server ... if important and you know which one I can delete as admin. If not important to remove left it.

Hey Attila,

I tried to upload my first images to the gallery, but I got an error of File Size limit exceeded. I've tried with a 876 x 584 and a 467 x 701 jpegs, both below the 900 x 768 limit.

What can be wrong? Is there any limit in weight as there is in size?

Thanks! Very Happy

It has a bug , some images produce this error. I can't really fix it because server side image processor bug. Try an another one, hopefully it will works. Many thanks for your understanding! Use other hosting like imagshack.com or eu for the not accepted one.

Is there any restriction on file size?

PostPosted: Tue Nov 18, 2008 6:57 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

We wish to see 900px wide images everywhere except oversize gallery there is no limit.

PostPosted: Tue Nov 18, 2008 7:01 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Can we upload oversize directly?
It seems that the console still re sizes to 900.
Is there a fix or am I wrong and it is ok now?

PostPosted: Tue Nov 18, 2008 7:05 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

Sorry, not height or width. I want to know the file size in KB.

PostPosted: Tue Nov 18, 2008 7:09 pm    Post subject: Reply with quote

I think there is no limit, if built-in upload says "Your exceeded file limit" that means a jpg error. Sometimes come sometimes not. This known bug in server side processor.

No, there is a limit set of 768*900 and the images are resized to that.
I think that Attila can rise the image size limit, just like he did lower it.
Then of course the 768*900 pixels limitation in the normal gallery will remain, it will just have to be respected by posters instead of having the "software policeman" Wink

Console resize everywhere to 900px wide even in oversized gallery. You must link oversized pictures from somewhere else.

You might find there's a kb limit as well, I use the same forum software and besides the pixel limits there is a data/ kb limit option.

Yes.

Image size restriction is increased to 1024px wide everywhere , except oversize gallery where is no limit. Built-in upload utility makes two images, one resized one what is included in post and utility left untouched genuine image. Genuine image coming up when user click on embedded image in post.

Hello: I'm a brand new member. I tried uploading a picture (downsized to 900 pixel width) using the upload picture button, but wound up with broken links. Here's an example:

What am I doing wrong?

Great site, by the way, loaded with info!
