In my opinion this lens outperforms the 105mm f/2.8 Super-Takumar (and also the S-M-C Takumar). Especially in the bokeh department. I do have the older 4-element 105mm f/2.8 Takumar pre-set but I don't know its performance because the front element is badly scratched.

Orio: yes, I did sell the 5D. I always fall in the same trap -the FF sensor- even though I thoroughly hate the 5D for being too big, clunky, lacking in userfriendliness, the bad -washed out- back LCD etc. It simply is not a photographer's camera but a sledgehammer with a shutter button.
(Here's hoping for the Pentax FF which will correct all that; Pentax has acknowledged that they are working on one).

Ouch, that's a hard statement for a camera that was released 8 years ago
For the time, it was a real breakthrough. Of course today it shows it's age. OK, the preview is not exciting. But you don't really need to check the colours when you are photographing,
you need to check the dynamic range, and that it does. And, the 5D can still today take wonderful pictures.
