This took place right outside my door, literally, yesterday.
A mix of Tamron 70-300 AF and Samsung 18-55 AF.

They came from all over - quite a few UK reg cars there too.
I was lucky, in that the stage that went past my door was the only one out of three not cancelled during the day, so got all the action. The other two were pulled because of accidents (fortunately, nobody was seriously hurt, afaik).
By the third time around the stage, the drivers were used to being ambushed by a loon with a Schmeerblitz aimed directly at them As you can see, the chicane arrangement only slightly slowed some of them down and if any steering component had broken I'd have been a bit run over. Still, that's the game.
I was slightly disappointed the chicane was there at all, but it meant I could get some fairly good shooting positions - otoh, I was hoping they'd be running in the opposite direction for then I'd have had some cracking pics of them leaping off the humpback bridge next to me. _________________ Dave - Moderator Camera Fiend and Biograph Operator If I wanted soot and whitewash I'd be a chimney sweep and house painter.
