Just arrived from KEH. Man they deliver fast. Looks in great shape. The description said pin holes but I can not find any. A little paint missing but it works and looks great to me.

Pretty one !

I really like the back on that.
Looks like a lever action bracket to open, beats fighting with the spring.
And it looks like you can change out the groundglass without disassembling the whole thing.

Pinholes may refer to the taped area ?

What I thought but it is light tight as far as I can tell.

It is a lever action back and should take a roll film adapter just fine. Lots more room than the Busch Pressman.

What a beauty.

What lens(es) are you going to put on her?

That is really nice looking.
Welcome to LF - it's only a mildly ruinous pastime.

I just bought a 90mm Wollensak and am bidding on a Schneider Symar 180mm. Then I'll be looking for a 127mm or a 135mm.

Only ruinous if you let it be. I had a Busch Pressman but the focus hood was a little small and the movements more limited as well as the ability to use some lenses was limited. Got enough for it and it's accessories to send my Kodak Medalist to Bald Mountain to let Ken Ruth do his magic on it and still had enough left over to buy this one.

The front and back will tilt 30degrees each way. Also there is a ball detent on the standards to recover quickly to perpendicular and parallel.

First...The adjusting knob you loosen to move the standards. Also notice the spring clip for hanging a focusing dark cloth.

Tilt one way.

Tilt the other way.

The ball detents.

Another good feature are the two spirit levels beside the carry handle to allow leveling in both directions.

Nice details.

How close can you get the front and back standards ?

Luis...From the inside surface of the ground glass to the outer surface of the lens board it is 3 5/8 inches. The inner surface of the lens board would be 1/8 inch further in. Or you could say from the inner surface of the ground glass to the inner surface of the lens board it is 3 1/2 inches. It takes 4x4 lens boards. I just made a recessed lens board for a 90mm Wollensak Raptar lens out of a solid billet of aluminum that measures 3/4 of an inch in thickness and with a 5/8 inch recess that has plenty of clearance but some of the other lens with long rear element extensions might bump if they were too long. I'll be sure to measure them before using them.

One feature I like is the ability to rotate the ground glass and spring back to any degree of rotarion in 360 degrees without having to remove it.

Move this locking lever up

Then you can rotate it to any degree of rotation you wish and lock it in place.

Another item that I like is the lever for opening the spring back to load film....Makes it easy!!!

That lever is what I want to rig up.
Or maybe try get a proper spring back and retrofit.

When you move the lever to the outward center position it keeps the spring back open when you let go of it. Also it can be used from the left or the right side.

Would you like detail photos of the assembly?

The front standards can allow for 1 inch of fall and 3 inches of rise. Probably more than I'll ever use.

You can also get 7/8 inch of side movement left and right at the front or the back for a total side shift of 3/4 of an inch.
