I bought one for peanuts, it is battery free , very small and accurate as well. Highly recommend it!

Yes, unfortunately buying selenium meters is a lottery
you may win and get a working one, or lose and get a piece of junk Confused

yes, they are adjustable , I have at least 4 what works well. two Gössen and one werra , one Seiko all good.
I bought weston it is crap even needle is move , they price is low and they are adjustable with screw on back
So don't give up, money of them great.

My Weston needed cleaning. There was dust between the meter magnet & the needle coil. Glass needed re-glue to frame. Works excellent ever since, even with cracked selenium cell!

And avoid all costs the Gossens that have the moving plastic band, it is usually broken and fixed with some glue.

sorry, this one is actually good but the other six-something with color temperature and some gear system to make use easier (and also to break the damn band easier with less force)

Is this why my sixtry sometimes sticks. When you tap the meter it starts working again. Or do you think this is electrical fault?
