Thank you , Olivier and Tobias !
I like too very much this church . Not very old .The painting is new , dates from 1988-1993 . The warm tones are creating a splendid atmosphere. These colours are rather unusual for the romanian ortodox tradition of interior painting .
The veil that separates the altar from the nave of the church (as it is in all ortodox romanian churches) is unique in the country (at least) because of the pulpit located over the "imperial doors" .In the church tradition the pulpit should be located on the northern side of the nave ,and not towards the East , as it is here.
Secondly this veil is unique by the location of the two registers , of the Holy Apostles and of the The Old Testament prophets ,wich usually are located horizontally at the most ortodox veils. Here , the register of the Holy Apostles is located on a semicircular arrangement at the upper part of the veil. If my information is correct , the veil is made of three types of wood : linden ,er and pear.
The veil is crafted around 1850. _________________ Cheers , Teo

Thank you Teo for these explanations.
When we see the church from outside, we don't expect such frescoes inside !
I'm wondering wether this church is built upon an ancient religious site, or a water source ?
Are you working in religious architecture field ? _________________ Olivier - Moderator

Hi, Olivier ! I like shooting architecture and especially old architecture. Of course , churches ,cathedrals and their paintings are one of my favorite subjects. No, I am not a specialist ,but I'd wanted to be .... I ended up as a GP
Yes, you are absolutely right , the exterior of this church doesn't let to guess the inside . It's built between 1848-1867 replacing a wooden church erected in 1822 on the palce on an old church that was mentioned in a document in 1428 . The monastery is located on a valley of a river in the lower part of the Eastern Carpathian mountains .
It's a very peaceful place
This is the exterior of the church :
In the yard of the convent :
And a tulip ...nice job for closeups :

Thanks a lot Teo for your explanations and great exterior pictures.
It seems the E-PL1 manages things very well.
Is the kit lens the 14-42mm ?
Maybe distorsion is quite high at wideest angle ? _________________ Olivier - Moderator
