Here some macro shots with Macro tubes and Pentax 50/1.7 with NEX-5. Due to really thin DOF couldn't get the whole subject in focus so have to learn a bit how to use this properly. But here some selected shots.

to gain bigger DOF you could build a macro flash diffuser.
One of our forum members made a great "how to" ... have to check about the URL

You can easily stop down on a f16 or even f22 without worrying to much about shutter speeds ...

that's the one I built:

fits on the built in camera flash and extends to any camera lens lengths.

here some results:

this one is done with SMC A Macro 100 & 3 Ext. Tubes on f22

it's really fun to build such a thing and also fun and efficient to use it Smile

Cheers
Tobias

Tobias,

Thanks for your suggestion, I should look into it. I've not really looked into macro much until now, but had these tubes lying around so thought would give it a try. I also have a Contax tla30 with off camera cord that I can use with my EOS 350d.

I like your shots, especially the beetle one!

Bhargav
