Well I wasn't going to get wet for this Heron, it flew down while I was sheltering in a tunnel.... wrong film (slow), bad light, camera shake all wasted on a great lens Meyer 135mm, but hey I got a picture of a Heron

I got a good look at a flock of herons this spring. They were following the migration of the gasperau (alewife), every day they'd be at the mouth of a different tributary a little farther up the river. These guys were shy, we couldn't get within a hundred yards without spooking them, although that might have something to do with my 5 year old son
