Quiet common trick to won with super high price by friend or with more accounts....

and cancel transaction after, it is costless

and next time people love to pay 60% of top price as bargain deal....

Still22 has a bit too much high price winner on his auctions no matter how lens are excellent described etc I never were even close to those price (I didn't cheat) and so many other sellers too , I don't believe in magic...
I also don't beleive people love to pay much more than neccessary

The next highest price in recent sales for a trioplan was $160...

You'll note in the bid history for this auction that bidder p***h( 0 ) starts bidding at $165, and keeps bidding until a ridiculous $380...

Odd they have never won an auction. Laughing

Not quite so: Click here to see on Ebay
again Stil. If you check for feedback they came from all over the world.

Atilla: i believe this could be someone else's practice though not in Stil case. Why would he risk? He already has fantastic reputation and there is nothing beyond that. It seems to me rich Asian kids are popping on scene.

I still beleive in what I said, no magic even to Spiro. I have many Asian buyer also, I don't remember any who is willing to pay 10 cents more than avarage Ebay price, but I remember many who would take my items for half price ...

I wonder why their trioplans are worth more than other peoples? Confused

More photos? Lower starting prices? Maybe... but seems suspicious. The highest price I saw for another m42 Trioplan (including case) was $162. Most seem to sell around $100, so even that was rather on the high side.

Maybe the trioplan is overhyped lately.

Friend of mine sold one for over 280 Euro!

Anyway, it is a seller from Greece and they need some money there

I don't know if it is worth tat much but I can understand the values for a popular lens with original casing and caps, hard to find I guess.

Cause I am a Trioplan 100 lover, I searched some time after a backup lens for it. And now I sometimes look whats Ebay prices are doing - in Germany or with shipment to Germany.

I got the impression that normal going price for a M42 version is ~ 130 Euro (= 179 USD). Exa mount is much cheaper. And M42 mount without clear mentioned in the text is cheaper too.
There are big price differences, some who I can´t understand.

Now there are four Trioplan 100 M42 sold for ~ 160 Euro (=217 USD). I think the price is still rising - but it is not overhyped. Simply more people want to get that unique look:

That mentioned 380 USD price for a Trioplan seems real for me. There are three bidders that nearly go that high. But I suppose they are a kind of collector, or lovers of pristine equipment.

Hey guys,

Mine is a non multi-coated version... M42 mount.

I really like the way it blows out light sources wide open.
Here are some pics I took with mine.

Ah yes, excuse the noise... Was hand-held, so no tripod thus massive ISO.

Cheers,

Ben

That's nothing.
I paid £8 for an absolutely mint one of these just 8 months ago.

And there's another going for about the same price!

The ROLLEI QBM Rolleinar-MC 135mm 2.8 Auction you mention is the Buy It Now price - and at the moment no one has bought it. This are the wishes some sellers have.

There are always big differences in the pricing. I got my Meyer Trioplan M42 for someting under 20 Euro on the Fleamarket ~ a year ago. But back then the normal average going price on Ebay was about 60 Euro. Now this price is ~ 130 Euro - for ended auctions. There are always cheaper and expensiver ending auctions.
So it seems like small or early "hype".
