The 20/3.5 UD is a great lens to use--just as long as you don't shoot into the sun. I like results with it better than a friend's 20/2.8 Ais.
Convict Lake in the winter with the 20 UD on a Nikon D700.
A second shot of Convict Lake.

I really appreciate your posting these images, Arninetyes. The 20mm UD is on my short list of old lenses to acquire. Your images are wonderful and everything I was hoping for with that lens.
You mention avoiding the sun. Does it produce an unacceptable amount of flare when you get the sun in the frame? _________________ Michael

Mostly ghosts, which can range from no-big-deal to very annoying. Since we're supposed to post only our 'best' pics from a given lens in this forum, I set up a new thread in the MF forum about this lens. Be happy to post a few more there as well. It's my favorite Nikkor 20. To be fair, I've only tried two.
