I've just found this excellent book online, quite by accident. If you google the title this link does not come up -

I've posted it again in case the url has changed. The book seems hard to find, so I would say that anyone with a Russian camera should download this. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

It works OK for me. The file is 18.3 MB, so I recommend you to wait it out.
Depending on your browser/OS, have you tried right-click/Save Link As? |

It's a big file, the book is about 300 pages. If you've got a Russian camera it's worth the wait to download. My download speed has been as slow as 0.05 mb/s recently, so it took me about 5 minutes to download. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

Slightly off topic, but 'wayback machine' still has the excellent Psychotic Studios tutorial on cleaning and adjusting the Helios lenses. I looked for it a short while ago through my bookmark link and the original site no longer has this information, but it is here -

It's a very good guide that deserves to be preserved. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

I downloaded it again, but when it opens it's just blank pages.
Sometime I'll possibly install Adobe Acrobat pdf reader, which I've avoided since version 3 or 4 and see if that opens it. _________________ Dave - Moderator

If ye use Firefox, then download "Foxit Reader" from Addons. It's a great PDF reader and uses a tiny resource...and it works!

Sorry for reviving what is essentially a dead thread.
I'm wondering if anyone still has a copy of the PDF file?
I just ordered a Fed-5B and I feel having the book would definitely add a layer of security in case I get one that goes haywire after a few rolls through it...
Thanks |

All the links have gone, I guess they have fallen foul of copyright. I lost my copy when I crashed my computer a few weeks ago and have searched hard to find a download, with no success. So, if someone does have a copy that they might let us look at, it would be much appreciated. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

I think that your help would be most appreciated by many, many enthusiasts.
I have an original, printed copy of the english edition of the Majzenberg, bought at a bookstore's stand at n antique show, in 1997.
I've seen that the online-copies in .pdf have been removed from websites on request of the late Isaac Majzenberg's heirs. I think that if they would release a new edition (paper or CD) it would still be a success.
Let's hope that your link would last for a while!...
Best wishes,
