Hi,
next station during our visit at Hungary was Esztergom.
Esztergom is a city in northern Hungary, 46 km north-west of the capital Budapest. It lies in Komárom-Esztergom county, on the right bank of the river Danube, which forms the border with Slovakia there.
Esztergom was the capital of Hungary from the 10th till the mid-13th century when King Béla IV of Hungary moved the royal seat to Buda.
Esztergom is the seat of the Primate of the Roman Catholic Church in Hungary. It's also the official seat of the Constitutional Court of Hungary. Its cathedral, Esztergom Basilica is the largest church in Hungary.
All shots with Nikon D700 & Nikkor AF-S 16-35mm/4 G ED
Thanks for viewing and comments.

Very nice pictures Rolf. Contrasty and sharp, makes me want to go there too. Thanks for the history lesson and sharing of your pictures!
Of course I still remember your scans from Hungary in the 70's I believe? _________________ Peter - Moderator

Thanks Roman.
I bought this lens last year but didn´t use it too much in the meantime because I was always looking for MF lenses in this range. But didn´t find equiollent lenses less than 24mm. So for a town trip the right lens, the microcontrast and sharpness is very well I believe.
I will stop my searching for a MF lens and will use only this lens for focal lengths less than 24 mm.

If the price would be friendlier I would get it but unfortunately it is too much for my lens budget... as a plan B I'm looking at samyang 14/2.8 and I'm expecting 18-28 soon so I'll see if it's worth keeping..... but it's not nikkor |
